Beer and Real Ale from Exmoor and West Somerset

Exmoor is primarily an upland area made up mainly of small villages and hamlets. The largest settlements are Porlock, Dulverton, Lynton, and Lynmouth, Simonsbath and Wheddon Cross.

Three rather splendid Exmoor and Cotleigh brewery real ales arranged neatly on a Somerset gate!

Exmoor and West Somerset are blessed with three wonderful breweries, the two largest are based in the town of Wiveliscombe.

Cotleigh Brewery - producers of such delights as Barn Owl premium ale; Golden Seahawk ale; Honey Buzzard dark ale; Osprey strong ale and more.

Exmoor Ales - Somerset's oldest brewery producing a wide range of high quality beers, including, Exmoor ale; Exmoor Fox; Exmoor Gold; Exmoor Stag and our favourite, Exmoor Beast, a full-bodied dark porter ale.

Taunton Brewing Company - a smaller brewery based in West Bagborough. Beers include: Taunton Ale; Taunton Castle; Taunton Gold; and Braunton in Steam.
