The Church of St Mary and All Saints in the small, isolated, village of Broomfield is well worth a visit. The church has many points of interest, including, ham stone columns and windows; a tower dating back to around 1440, adorned with gargoyles; a large 16th century iron-bound wooden chest; and one of the most complete sets of early carved bench ends in England. Outside one can also see the third largest Yew Tree in Somerset and what remains of a 15th century churchyard cross.
