Located right in the middle of Exmoor is the parish Church of St Salvyn in the village of Exford, Somerset. Saint Salvyn was a little-known Welsh saint who was involved in bringing Christianity to the West Country during the early medieval period and the church here was dedicated to him for most of its history. However, perhaps due to the relative oscurity of St Salvyn, the church has now been dedicated to St. Mary Magdalene.
