An exceedingly good prize winning basket of home-grown vegetables at the Wiveliscombe Show, near Taunton, Somerset.

Some photographs of the Wiveliscombe Horticultural Society Show at Kingsmead School in Wiveliscombe. This is an annual flower and vegetable show and this year took place on the 21st August 2010.

The main emphasis of the show was, of course, horticultural, with sections for children, novices, and amateurs; and prizes awarded for everything from marrows and onions to cooking apples and plums. Entries to this year's show also included cookery, home made wines, handicrafts, photography, and floral art. Other attractions included the Wiveliscombe model railway, the town band, refreshments, stands by the organisers of the Wiveliscombe Carnival, Somerset Wildlife Trust, and Wiveliscombe Community Responders. A splendid event with something for people of all ages and interests.
