Luccombe Somerset

National Trust Holnicote Estate cottages and St Mary's Church in Luccombe, Exmoor, West Somerset

Luccombe is a small picturesque village in West Somerset. The village is located at the foot of Exmoor's highest hill, Dunkery Beacon, and is about one mile south of the A39 road between Porlock and Minehead. In 1947 a Mass Observation Survey, looking at the lives of the people of Luccombe, was carried out, which was published in the book 'Exmoor Village'.
